For the past three hundred years, a mysterious object had been hurtling through outer space. It had passed undiscovered planets, solar systems, and now it was heading straight for planet Earth.

Meanwhile, somewhere in London, Sarah Dillon was sitting at her computer. She was busy writing a fictional story about a UFO that comes to Earth from outer space when suddenly she received an email from an old friend. The last time she saw him was several years ago. He was in a hospital in Mexico City with a broken leg.

As she read the email, her eyes widened. Wow, this is big. I need to check this out, she thought.
